He emphasized the need for urgent action to address the triple crisis of unemployment, inequality, and poverty.
We believe that the time for talk is over, and it’s time to take action. We must establish connectivity with workers, address membership decline, and work together to support affected workers.
Key recommendations include:
- Forming a committee, to lead urgent action when workers are abused
- Returning non-specialized work, to South Africans, rather than undocumented and documented foreigners
- Ensuring workers have benefits, and dealing with employers who contribute to poverty and unemployment
- Overhauling the education system, to focus on skills-based learning from early childhood development
- Investing in health and infrastructure, and emphasizing patriotism and pride in our country
